This Month’s Maker Highlight: MGB Woodwork
I’m so excited to share this month’s maker collaboration with Mark Bond of MGB Woodwork.

I first met Mark years ago at the Filberg Festival on Vancouver Island. From the start, I fell in love with his work — especially his stools and chairs, which carry such a timeless, mid-century feel. Pieces that quietly belong in a home, becoming part of daily life.
Over those four days, we shared long conversations and plenty of laughter. That same warmth and creativity lives within his work — each piece made with care, intention, and a deep respect for the material.

MGB Woodwork is a small, independent studio creating beautifully crafted wooden pieces for homes and workspaces. From simple shelves to custom furniture, Mark’s work celebrates the natural character of reclaimed and unique woods — bringing a sense of quiet luxury and grounding into a space.
There’s something I’ve always felt connects our work — a shared appreciation for form, material, and the way objects live with us over time.
If you’re drawn to thoughtful, handcrafted pieces, I think you’ll love what Mark creates.
